All vehicles are subject to availability at the time of reservation.

Rates and Charges

Rates are subject to change without notice and are quoted in New Zealand Dollars including all applicable local taxes at the time including but not limited to Goods and Services Tax (GST).

No vehicle booking is considered to be a confirmed reservation until full payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by Exclusive Chauffeur  to the Customer.

By accepting a quote, the Customer is also agreeing to accept that any additional services requested by the Customer will be invoiced separately, with payment being due upon receipt of the invoice in order for the requested services to be enacted.

Invoicing will also occur with payment also becoming due upon receipt for any additional incidentals, for example, but not limited to; wait times outside of the initial reservation and or soiling or damage to or of the vehicle.

Chauffeur Arrival Times

 Exclusive Chauffeur works hard to give chauffeurs enough time to be in position prior to a reserved pick-up time.

We attempt to have the chauffeur arrive at the pre-arranged pickup point a minimum of 10 minutes before the designated time. Should this not be possible due to circumstances outside of our control, we will do everything we can to inform the Passenger or Customer beforehand to minimise any possible inconvenience.

Passenger Pickup Time Grace Periods

Grace Periods and Wait Time Charges

We understand and appreciate that delays happen and that they can be stressful for the Passenger. For each reservation, Passengers are granted a window of time (Grace Period) to meet their chauffeur at the reserved pickup time and location before incurring any Waiting Time charges.

Wait Time charges will occur and be due for payment for waiting times outside of the Grace Periods as stated below:

  • For non-airport pickups: A fifteen-minute grace period is allowed. Wait Time charges will apply after the fifteen-minute grace period and are charged at NZ$20 for each fifteen-minute increment after the grace period.

  • For Airport pickups: A thirty-minute grace period is allowed for domestic arrivals and a forty-five-minute grace period is allowed for international arrivals. Wait Time charges will apply after the fifteen-minute grace period and are charged at NZ$20 for each fifteen-minute increment after the grace period.

 Exclusive Chauffeur does not accept responsibility for passengers who are not at the reserved pickup point at the reserved pickup time. Flight Delays

To aid in relieving the stresses caused by flight delays,  Exclusive Chauffeur monitors all commercial airline arrivals to ensure on-time airport pickups.

 

No Shows

A reservation is considered a “No Show” if the passenger has not arrived at the reserved pickup location and no contact has been established within:

  • Thirty minutes for non-airport pickup locations.

  • Sixty minutes for domestic airport pickups from the original or adjusted flight arrival time.

  • Ninety minutes for international airport pickups from the original or adjusted flight arrival time.

For any and all No-Shows, Exclusive Chauffeur  will cancel your reservation, the chauffeur may no longer be available to you and the full trip fare will be charged and invoiced with payment becoming due.

Exclusive Chauffeur  does not accept responsibility for passengers who are not at the reserved pickup point at the reserved pickup time. Examples of Grace Time Periods, Wait Time charges and No Shows

  • For non-airport pickups: Scenario 1: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 15 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:15 pm. You meet your chauffeur at 1:14 pm, you will incur no Wait Time charges as this is within the 15 minute Grace Period allowed.

    Scenario 2: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 15 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:15 pm. You meet your chauffeur at 1:25 pm. You will incur a Wait Time charge of NZ$20 as this is outside of the 15 minute Grace Period allowed and is within the first 15-minute increment outside of the Grace Period. Scenario 3: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 15 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:15 pm. Your chauffeur has waited until 1:30 pm and Exclusive Chauffeur has not been successful in contacting you and you have not been successful in contacting Exclusive Chauffeur. You will be deemed as a No Show. Exclusive Chauffeur will cancel your reservation, the chauffeur may no longer be available to you and the full trip fare will be charged and invoiced with payment becoming due. Scenario 4: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 15 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:15 pm. You have been in touch with Exclusive Chauffeur  and informed us that you will be late and that you would like the chauffeur to wait until you arrive. You meet your chauffeur at 1:53 pm. You will incur a Wait Time charge of NZ$60 as this is outside of the 15 minute Grace Period allowed and is within a total of three 15 minute increments outside of the Grace Period. (NZ$20 multiplied by 3 equals NZ$60.)
  • For Domestic airport pickups: Scenario 1: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 30 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:30 pm. You meet your chauffeur at 1:29 pm, you will incur no Wait Time charges as this is within the 30 minute Grace Period allowed for Domestic Airport pickups.

    Scenario 2: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 30 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:30 pm. You meet your chauffeur at 1:40 pm. You will incur a Wait Time charge of NZ$20 as this is outside of the 30 minute Grace Period allowed for Domestic Airport pickups and is within the first 15-minute increment outside of the Grace Period. Scenario 3: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 30 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:30 pm. Your chauffeur has waited until 2:00 pm and Exclusive Chauffeur  has not been successful in contacting you and you have not been successful in contacting Exclusive Chauffeur. You will be deemed as a No Show. Exclusive Chauffeur  will cancel your reservation, the chauffeur may no longer be available to you and the full trip fare will be charged and invoiced with payment becoming due. Scenario 4: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 30 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:30 pm. You have been in touch with Exclusive Chauffeur  and informed us that you will be late and that you would like the chauffeur to wait until you arrive. You meet your chauffeur at 2:13 pm. You will incur a Wait Time charge of NZ$60 as this is outside of the 30 minute Grace Period allowed for Domestic Airport pickups and is within a total of three 15 minute increments outside of the Grace Period. (NZ$20 multiplied by 3 equals NZ$60.)
  • For International airport pickups: Scenario 1: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 45 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:45 pm. You meet your chauffeur at 1:44 pm, you will incur no Wait Time charges as this is within the 45 minute Grace Period allowed for International Airport pickups.

    Scenario 2: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 45 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:45 pm. You meet your chauffeur at 1:50 pm. You will incur a Wait Time charge of NZ$20 as this is outside of the 45 minute Grace Period allowed for International Airport pickups and is within the first 15-minute increment outside of the Grace Period. Scenario 3: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 45 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:45 pm. Your chauffeur has waited until 2:30 pm and Exclusive Chauffeur  has not been successful in contacting you and you have not been successful in contacting Exclusive Chauffeur . You will be deemed as a No Show. Exclusive Chauffeur  will cancel your reservation, the chauffeur may no longer be available to you and the full trip fare will be charged and invoiced with payment becoming due. Scenario 4: Your pickup time is 1:00 pm, you have a 45 minute Grace Period to meet your chauffeur at the reserved pickup location. The latest time you can meet your chauffeur before any Wait Time charges incur would be 1:45 pm. You have been in touch with Exclusive Chauffeur  and informed us that you will be late and that you would like the chauffeur to wait until you arrive. You meet your chauffeur at 2:43 pm. You will incur a Wait Time charge of NZ$80 as this is outside of the 45 minute Grace Period allowed for International Airport pickups and is within a total of four 15 minute increments outside of the Grace Period. (NZ$20 multiplied by 4 equals NZ$80.)

To avoid this charge, or if you are having trouble locating your chauffeur, we advise you not to leave the pickup location of your reservation without first contacting  Exclusive Chauffeur by phone, SMS/Text message, Viber, Skype or WhatsApp on +64 2102637848 or by email at info@exclusivechauffeur.co.nz.

 Exclusive Chauffeur does not accept responsibility for passengers who are not at the pickup point at the designated pickup time.

Delays

Exclusive Chauffeur does not accept responsibility or liability for any delay caused by but not limited to, traffic delays, breakdown, incorrect information, acts of nature or any other situation beyond our control.

Insurance and Claims

 Exclusive Chauffeur vehicles and sub-contracted vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third party claims. However, properties of the Passenger are carried entirely at the Passenger’s own risk and  Exclusive Chauffeur will not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage to such property.

Lost Property

 Exclusive Chauffeur maintains a lost property register and will endeavour to aid Passengers to recover any lost property left in our vehicles or subcontracted vehicles.

Vehicle Substitution

 Exclusive Chauffeur reserves the right to substitute the type and or colour of reserved vehicles at our discretion. We may have the occasional need to provide subcontracted vehicles to meet demand or requests. We will attempt to inform you of such changes or substitutions where and when possible.

Chauffeur, Passenger and Customer Responsibility

The Passenger accepts that the chauffeur has full control of the vehicle throughout the reservation and it is at the chauffeur’s discretion as to what can be achieved on the day of reservation due to the surrounding conditions and circumstances.

The Passenger also accepts that the chauffeur will drive at safe and sensible speeds in accordance with road conditions, traffic and the legal speed limits and that the chauffeur will travel by the route they deem appropriate, unless instructed otherwise by the Customer at the time of booking.

Smoking and illegal drugs are prohibited in all Exclusive Chauffeur and sub-contracted vehicles.

Alcohol consumption in all Exclusive Chauffeur  and sub-contracted vehicles is only permitted at the chauffeur’s discretion. The chauffeur has the right to terminate the ride without refund if there is any blatant or inappropriate indiscretion on the part of the Passenger. The chauffeur will deem what is a blatant or an inappropriate indiscretion. Rides terminated by the chauffeur as a result of any blatant or inappropriate indiscretion will be reported to Exclusive Chauffeur and the full original fare will be due for payment including any additional charges that may incur as a result of any blatant or inappropriate indiscretion.

The Customer will be held responsible and liable for any damages to the vehicle (inside or outside including equipment and fittings), caused by the Passenger or a member of their travelling party. The cost of repair for such damages will be the responsibility of the Customer hiring the vehicle.

Reservation Variations, Cancellations and Refunds

Any variation from the reservation may incur additional costs and will be at the discretion of the chauffeur and or Exclusive Chauffeur . The chauffeur will always advise the Passenger of any additional costs and obtain approval from the Passenger or Customer prior to invoicing and providing the variations.

Please be sure to give us adequate notice if you need to change or cancel your booking or reservation.

Changes or cancellations for all bookings or reservations must be submitted to Exclusive Chauffeur  by e-mail at info@exclusivechauffeur.co.nz or by phone on +64 2102637848.

If a paid for reservation is cancelled by the Customer between 24 and 48 hours from the start of the period of hire, 50% of the New Zealand Dollar invoiced price will be refunded in New Zealand Dollars and converted to the currency equivalent the Customer used when paying.

If a paid for reservation is cancelled by the Customer within 24 hours from the start of the period of hire, 100% of all monies paid will be non-refundable.

Credit/Debit Card Information

Exclusive Chauffeur  does not store credit/debit card information once your booking has been processed unless we have your prior consent to do so.

Please do not enter Credit/Debit Card information into the request, booking or contact forms on the Site. Exclusive Chauffeur  accepts no responsibility for credit/debit card information entered into request, booking or contact forms on the Site.

Enforcement of Terms

In the event that any part of this agreement is unenforceable, the remaining conditions of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

Exclusive Chauffeur  reserves the right to change, update or modify our Terms and Conditions at any time so please review them frequently. If we make material changes to the Terms and Conditions, we will attempt to notify you of these changes by means of a notice on the home page of the Site.

Statutory Rights

Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions can affect the statutory rights of the Passenger or the Customer.

Intellectual Property

All content included on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, news, articles, software scripts and applets (collectively the “Content”), is the property of Exclusive Chauffeur , it's associates or its affiliates, and is protected by New Zealand and International copyright laws. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, or services obtained from the Site without the written permission of Exclusive Chauffeur . Any other use, including the reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display or performance, or any exploitation, of the Site or any of the Content or software on the Site, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited.

Nothing contained on the Site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademark displayed on the Site without the written permission of Exclusive Chauffeur  or such third party that may own the Trademarks displayed on the Site. Your misuse of the Trademarks displayed on the Site, or any other Content on the Site is strictly prohibited. Exclusive Chauffeur  will aggressively enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law.

Exclusive Chauffeur , www.exclusivechauffeur.co.nz is trademarks of Exclusive Chauffeur  Limited. The trademarks, logos, and service marks (collectively the “Trademarks”) displayed on the Site are the registered and or unregistered Trademarks of Exclusive Chauffeur  and others.
